EX Dra

This might be my last observation for this spring. I decided to pick up this interesting  variable with very deep eclipse. Light curve with 70 data points (with 30 seconds exposure).

UX UMa Eclipse

26/04/2009 (14:39) by Petri Kehusmaa

While the night sky is too pale for color imaging, it’s still possible to image variable stars. I decided to capture nova-like CV UX UMa and it’s eclipse. Here is the result made with MaximDL. Imaging scope was Deep Sky Instruments RC10C and camera was SBIG STL-11000.

Season End, M13 LLRGB 3 Hours

21/04/2009 (13:21) by Petri Kehusmaa

This is one of my last targets for every imaging season. This year I’m imaging this great cluster with RC for the first time! Total exposure time is 3 hours (details in gallery). Seeing was pretty good but I managed to put couple of bad frames into luminance stack and therefore some of the stars look like triangle.

M106 Project Final v2

02/04/2009 (16:47) by Petri Kehusmaa

Last night I was able to acquire three more hours of photons for this project and now I’m ready to release the final image v2. Total exposure time is now 8.3 hours. The edge on galaxy NGC 4217 (on right) is possible companion galaxy of M106. There are also tens of other galaxies floating around at background. I hope you enjoy as much I enjoyed making this!
